airbrush spray tans
Airbrush spray tans
Airbrush spray tanning is probably the most popular type of sunless tanning available today. This type of spray tan is applied by a professional technician who sprays the tanning solution onto your body via a hand held type of spray gun.
The airbrush spray tan is usually applied in a special booth at a tanning salon. Most booths are equipped with an exhaust fan and also offer a degree of privacy to the person receiving the spray tan. This however is not as private as an automatic booth spray tan and in most situations the client is not naked so cannot receive a whole-body spray.
How is the airbush spray tan applied?
The technician operates the spray gun by hand, spraying the tanning mist over their client’s entire body. The spray gun ensures an even and consistent flow of mist.
Various spray techniques are used such as spraying the mist in circular movements to get the best results.
At times, the technician will ask their client to move their body – such as to bend forward or lift their arms – to ensure that all areas are reached uniformly.
The more professional the spray tan technician, the better the finished result. For example, the technician must take into consideration the client’s skin type and condition and spray accordingly – some areas may need less or more application.
Equipment used for airbrush spray tanning – the hand held spray gun
The main item of equipment is the device used to spray the tanning mist. This is referred to as a handheld spray gun and there are three main types:
- Airbrush Spray Gun (where the name airbrush spray tanning comes from)
- LVLP (Low Volume Low Pressure) Spray Gun
- HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) Spray Gun
The LVLP type of spray gun is usually the preferred device. It’s low pressure, low volume system which delivers a fine, quick drying spray and allows for adjustable spray flow and adjustable trigger-control. It is also more time efficient, enabling a whole body spray in only about ten to 15 minutes, compared to using an airbrush which can take up to 45 minutes.
Mobile spray tanning
Air brush spray tan equipment allows spray tanning to be offered anywhere, and there is an increasing number of businesses offering “mobile spray tans”.

Vitamin D deficiencies are very common among adults in comparison to children. Why does your Vitamin D level decrease in the first place? Such things happen as a result of many circumstances put together. One major reason happens because adolescents neglect the consumption of diet that is full of Vitamin D. When their levels drop down, the absorption of the Vitamin D through the intestines is also decreased. Another problems accompanied in addition to this would be the reduction in the ability of the kidney to activate the pro-vitamin and secondly, the power of your skin to create vitamin d is reduced by four times. These symptoms are multiplied once the person’s exposure to sunlight is low.
